Dr Ozan Demir is a consultant cardiologist specialising in general cardiology, interventional cardiology and structural intervention, including transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). He has expertise in cardiac CT and echocardiography and offers a comprehensive service for both diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiac symptoms such as chest pain, breathlessness and palpitations. He regularly performs coronary interventions (stenting) and TAVI procedures, including complex cases. Dr Demir is committed to delivering world-class, exceptional care that is tailored to each patients unique needs.
Dr Demir graduated from King’s College London (Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine) in 2009. He went on to complete specialist cardiology training at internationally recognised centres of excellence, including St Thomas’ Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital in London. He holds an MSc in Interventional Cardiology from Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan and a PhD in Cardiovascular Medicine and Sciences from King’s College London, focused on treating cardiovascular disease. His advanced training included a prestigious international fellowship in Milan where he gained world-leading expertise in coronary and structural intervention. He is bilingual in English and Turkish.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Demir runs an active research programme dedicated to improving outcomes in coronary and structural heart disease. He has secured multiple competitive research grants from national bodies including the National Institute for Health Research, the British Heart Foundation, and NHS England, and he currently leading several search studies. Dr Demir has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles in leading international cardiology journals, including Circulation, JACC, and the European Heart Journal.
